Engineering Manager

Role -
The engineering manager – A very experienced project manager/Engineer manager with coaching skills who can coach a team of 6 project engineers.

Salary -
£30 plus annual leave is 25 days per annum after probationary period. Private healthcare after one year and GPP pension scheme after probationary period.


Qualifications/Training
Essential:
• Apprenticeship served or degree qualified – engineering or relevant science
• At least 10 years experience covering both engineering and managerial duties.

• Solidworks
• Business qualification

Experience covering a wide variety of project types and fields.


• Design experience
• Project Engineering
• Hands on engineering
• Direct sales experience
• Understanding of Finite Element Analysis
• Preparation/ input to business cases/ justification
• Writing procedures
• Understanding of safety regulations particularly: machine regs.
• Wide understanding of quality practices e.g. ISO, APQP
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience of Job Shop or similar production management systems
• Experience of composites.
• In depth understanding of patent applications, restrictions, processes etc…
• PLC programming
• Automotive Experience
• Chairing effective meetings
• Understanding of design/ creativity tools & methodologies
• Understanding of tools best practices to help improve project success e.g. FMEA
• Competent in MS-Project
• In depth knowledge of business.
• Competent IT user.
